Interview with Vanessa, Flight Attendant at SWISS: Why she chooses AYMA tights and no longer wears other tights

Today Fabienne, Founder & CEO of AYMA has the opportunity to interview Vanessa, Flight Attendant at Swiss International Air Lines Ltd. We are happy to have Vanessa here to answer some exciting questions as an AYMA wearer.

„How did you find out about our AYMA tights?“
Last year, my Quality Ambassador team from SWISS had an event at the Zurich Airport Operation Center. Your booth was right next to ours, and during my coffee break I spontaneously decided to stop by to learn more about AYMA. I must say, you made an extremely sympathetic impression on me and I was immediately enthusiastic about your sustainable business idea, which should definitely be supported.

„What distinguishes AYMA tights for you? What do you appreciate about them?“
I really appreciate that the tights do not have an unpleasant smell on the feet after a long flight (laughs). No honestly, they are still like new. They are not worn out, do not smell in the foot area and I have not had a single ladder. They are very high quality tights – comfortable to wear thanks to the support at the hips down to the feet and for me a very important point, they do not slip – which I can not stand during work! I wear 30 DEN, so they are not opaque and therefore also fit our uniform regulations.

„How do you experience AYMA tights in terms of longevity compared to conventional tights, especially since your job as a flight attendant requires the product to be highly durable?”
In my job as a flight attendant, tights just have to last and not have a ladder after just one or two rotations. I had the best experience with AYMA tights so far. These tights provide excellent support, which is especially important in the airplane. Their durability is impressive, and they keep their quality even after washing. As already mentioned, they stay odorless even after a long day of work. I can also quickly hand wash the tights during a night stop. The next day they are then clean again and comfortable to wear.
Of course, in my job, it occasionally happens that my tights come into contact with sneaky adhesive strips on airplane seats or wherever. Then, unfortunately, also these tights cannot resist. 🙂

„Are our tights essential for you as a flight attendant?“
Absolutely! Since I discovered these tights, there are no others for me. I had already spent a lot of money on different tights and tried numerous ones. Why should I bother any further when I’ve finally found the perfect pair of tights (laughs).

„Do you wear the Aviator tights also in your free time?“
Of course, I have already washed it several times after the rotations to wear it in my free time. However, I then had to order two more, because I was short on tights, if I want to wear them for work as well as privately.

„Have you worn other sytles from AYMA yet?“
So far I have not had the opportunity to try other tights. But with autumn and winter soon around the corner, I’m sure I’ll buy one or two other styles.

„Are you familiar with AYMA’s sustainability facts? What do you think about it?“
Yes, when I first came in touch with AYMA, I had everything explained to me in detail. After that, I went back to your website for more information as it caught my interest. I find the use of recycled yarn, the eco-friendly packaging and the production with renewable energy really impressive. It’s great to see that you have found a sustainable solution for such a popular product that is bought and worn by so many people every day. I will definitely support your efforts and recommend the tights to my friends and co-workers.

„Before you knew our label, were you aware that conventional tights are very harmful to the environment?“
Honestly, I didn’t know about it. I have never really looked into this subject. That’s why I think it’s even more important to support it now. It’s great that you’re able to work with a company like SWISS and bring it to the attention of many women. I still hope for socks for our male flight attendants :-).

„To whom do you recommend the Aviator support tights?“
Well, I would recommend the Aviator support tights without hesitation. Whether you need the tights just for work or privately in your everyday life.

„Is there anything we can improve as a brand or do have something you’d like to share?“
Definitely do more advertising for these high quality tights and try to go into the market of large stores. What I personally would find great is to donate a part of the price of the tights to a charity (animal welfare, cancer league…), this would certainly many also like to support and it makes the sustainable product even more attractive to buy. Sustainability and a donation at the same time, two in one tights
sort of (laughs).
